History of Advanced Cycle Engineering in Winterswijk

ACE Recumbents was founded in 1991 in Wehl by Mark Burgers. The company originated from enthusiastic self-construction (since 1988) that also appealed to others. Due to the growth of the company, ACE Recumbents moved to Winterswijk in 1994.

The new building is also a retail property and so … yes. Mark opened a specialist recumbent store in 1995, while building recumbent bikes continued, but in recent years it has been so busy that he is no longer building.

Over the years, Mark has been supported by a number of recumbent enthusiasts. You may remember them, Jan Maarten, Willemijn and, Frank. Martijn has been around for years now. And you can also meet Esther in the store.

Because of this many years of experience, ACE Recumbents has excellent advisers who are ready for you.
